Which is the best card to use for purchases?

September 22, 2020|AMEX, Chase, Discover

If you can manage multiple credit cards (and pay them off in full each month), you can maximize your miles and points earning by charging different purchases on different cards based on their earning potential.   As bonuses change regularly, this guide is a snapshot as of today as to which card will earn you the most points.   I will update this as bonuses change.

Keep in mind, this is for miles and points earning purposes only.  It is not counting other benefits different cards may have like purchase or return protection.

These were determined based upon earning multipliers in each category time point valuations (based on The Points Guy valuations)

  • Citi Premier                                     Supermarket
