Coronavirus policies at United and AMEX

Hope everyone is staying safe.   Just a few notes regarding how United and AMEX are handling Coronvirus related issues:

United:

If you purchased a ticket under the United flexible no-change fee waiver, just be aware that if you change to another flight in the future and the fare is higher, you need to pay the difference in airfare.  If the airfare is lower, United keeps the money!  Desperate times….

AMEX:

On the flip side, American Express is being very flexible on payments,   You can either call or chat online and ask for a Coronavirus payment protection plan.  This will basically allow you to put off payments for two months with no late fees, interest, or forfeiting of any Membership Award points.  This will work on both business and personal accounts. I found the online chat was much quicker and easier to accomplish this.     Way to go AMEX!
