At the risk of sounding like a salesperson for Virgin Voyages based on the number of Virgin Voyages posts recently,  Virgin Voyages are amazing and can easily be booked for free with points now for a limited time.

In order to book Virgin Voyages with points, you must have a Virgin Atlantic frequent flier account. You must also have a Virgin Red account.  You must link these to each other so points are shared between both programs.  Cruises can be booked with Virgin Red points for a limited time. 

Currently, there is a 30% transfer bonus from American Express Membership Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards to Virgin Atlantic. 

There are some amazing deals to be had (although not as amazing as last year when you could book a 7-night Mediterranean cruise for two people for as little as 62,000 points. 

Here are the current deals:

5-night Caribbean cruise from Miami any time from June to September for 115,000 Virgin Red points (89,000 AMEX or Chase points)

7-night Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona departing May 12th or May 19th for 120,000 Virgin Red points (93,000 AMEX or Chase points)

7-night Mediterranean cruise from Athens or Barcelona any time from May to November for 160,000 Virgin Red points (124,000 AMEX or Chase points)

14-night Transatlantic cruise from Barcelona to Miami departing October 27th for 280,000 Virgin Red points (216,000 AMEX or Chase points)

16-night Transatlantic cruise from Miami to Rome departing on November 28th for 320,000 Virgin Red points (247,000 AMEX or Chase points)

These are amazing deals for two people in a Sea Terrace balcony cabin. All food, Wi-Fi, gratuities, and fees are included. Additionally, these cabins can be upgraded via the Virgin Voyages bidding system.

In order to book, you must redeem Virgin Red points on the Virgin Red website.  In one to three days, you will be emailed an Access Key code.  You use this code as the form of payment on the Virgin Voyages website.  As long as a Sea Terrace room is available for purchase, you can use the Access Key to book the cabin.  

We had an amazing Virgin Voyage cruise last summer and have another one planned for this coming summer.
