Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub/Viagogo Credit: How to Get the Most From It

When the Chase Sapphire Reserve refreshed its benefits in October 2025, it added a semi-annual $150 credit for StubHub or Viagogo — one credit good from January through June, and another $150 credit good from July through December, for up to $300 a year total.

How the credit works

Activate the benefit on the Chase website first, then make a purchase on StubHub or Viagogo using your Sapphire Reserve card — you’ll receive a credit of up to $150 toward the purchase. The event you’re buying tickets for doesn’t have to take place within the credit period itself; it can be any time in the future.

You can activate it either on chase.com or directly in the Chase Mobile app — look for the offer under your Sapphire Reserve account’s benefits or offers section. It only takes a few seconds, but skipping this step is the single most common reason people miss out on the credit entirely: purchasing on StubHub or Viagogo without activating first won’t trigger the credit after the fact.

The StubHub vs. Viagogo price trick

StubHub and Viagogo are part of the same company, and identical listings appear on both — but the prices aren’t always the same. When I checked The Jonas Brothers at UBS Arena, the price including fees was $121 on StubHub but $111 on Viagogo — $10 less for the exact same seats. Before you buy, check both sites for the same listing and use whichever is cheaper.

The rest of the Sapphire Reserve refresh

The StubHub/Viagogo credit is just one piece of the October 2025 refresh, which also raised the annual fee to $795 and added a stack of other credits and perks: a dining credit, DoorDash DashPass, complimentary Apple TV+ and Apple Music, Lyft credits, Peloton credits, plus the existing $300 travel credit, Priority Pass membership, and Chase’s growing lounge network. Whether the card is worth the fee for you comes down to how many of those credits you’ll actually use — run the math on your own habits rather than the card’s advertised “up to” totals.
