A few weeks ago I wrote about how my wife and I got scammed out of miles from our United and American Airlines accounts to the tune of $3,300 worth of miles.
WABC-TV in New York City picked up the story and I spoke with Nina Pineda about what happened and what to do.
Since the story aired, several people have emailed WABC saying they had the same thing happen to them, so this appears to be widespread.
The scammers are still out there, so protect yourself with the tips I mentioned so you don’t get scammed out of your hard-earned miles.
